Solution :
Using cameras and edge boxes, the system performs real-time analysis of the number of pigs on weighbridges, in pens, and in channels. It estimates the average weight of the pig herd, captures images/videos, and reports them to the business platform.
Achievement :
1. Traditional manual counting takes an average of about 35 seconds, while AI counting is completed in just 5 seconds, increasing efficiency by nearly 7 times.
2. The calculation is not affected by the pigs running back and forth, and it supports the detection and recognition of different breeds, including white pigs, black pigs, spotted pigs, and grey-black pigs.
3. It avoids the traditional manual methods of counting pigs by tapping or marking them. The AI counting process prevents pigs from exhibiting stress reactions such as running around chaotically or diarrhea.
4. The counting accuracy is as high as 99.9%, and the weight estimation accuracy reaches 98.5%.
